As part of the series of sessions being organised by Suncity School International Academia to initiate a dialogue with the students and their parents around subject and career options, choice of curricula, future goals etc, a special session was held on Saturday, 2nd December 2023 in the online mode. Ms. Prachi Mehta, Manager North India Cambridge International Education, was invited as the guest speaker to speak about Cambridge International Education that the school offers at grade 9 and 10 levels.
Ms. Mehta began by giving an extensive overview of the Cambridge board, tracing its rich history as part of the University of Cambridge and its journey as a truly international board, operating in 160 countries. Following her presentation, Ms. Mehta addressed the questions posed by the parents. Their concerns ranging from the suitability of Cambridge education for students planning to study within India, fear attached to the transition from one board to another, various subject choices offered by Cambridge, effectiveness of Cambridge education in light of The National Education Policy 2020 to what makes a Cambridge Learner stand out in the crowd, were addressed by the speaker adequately, to the satisfaction of the parents.
The session proved to be a stimulating experience for the students and parents in attendance, as it clarified a lot of their doubts around Cambridge education and international curricula in general. Lastly, it was reiterated to the parents that Suncity School International Academia offers Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) at grade 9 and 10 levels and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at grade 11 and 12 levels.
